Charles D. Dolan (“Charlie”) is CEO and Manager of SEQ Holdings, a Pittsburgh based data services and waste management holding company. He leads DSQ Technology (“DSQ”, dsqtechnology.com), an operating subsidiary of SEQ Holdings, which builds technology products focused on empowering informed decisions in the waste & recycling industry.
Charlie serves as Chairman of his extended family’s private holding company, where he manages the interests of approximately 300 of his extended family members. Charlie further serves as Vice Chairman of his nuclear family’s holding company, Voyager Holdings.
DSQ’s flagship platform, Discovery (discoveryapp.io), empowers the largest 3rd party waste managers in the United States with machine-learning automated invoice auditing, operational reporting, landfill diversion, and industry comparative pricing metrics. DSQ also provides real-time waste and recycling data via “Pioneer” container sensors for ongoing optimizations.
In 2023, DSQ acquired Hauler Software (www.haulersoftware.com), an easy to use dispatch, routing, and invoicing system for waste haulers.
Charlie previously founded Sequoia Waste Solutions (“Sequoia”) in 2011 while an undergraduate at Villanova University School of Business. Over 11 years, Charlie and his brother, Brian, grew Sequoia to provide managed services to national clients in 46 states. Sequoia was nationally featured as part of a wave of ‘unsexy’ businesses in Bloomberg, WSJ, and other similar publications. The business was sold to Quest Resources NASDAQ:QRHC in 2022.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA Charlie now resides in Oakmont, PA. He enjoys skiing, racing vintage sports cars, and exploring the world with his wife and four children.
